Our Story
After being married in 2022, while we love our furbabies, we decided to start trying to expand our family. Unfortunately, we discovered that we were dealing with severe infertility and would not be able to conceive naturally. We were devastated when we got the news from the doctor. We are so thankful to have great support from our friends and family, but it soon became very apparent how expensive infertility treatments can be. We started to handcraft home items for friends and family as a thank-you for all their support. They loved our gifts so much that we discovered people wanted to buy them! We began making items for family's friends, and friends' friends and then reached out to our local community on Facebook. While selling one blanket or cutting board is simply a drop in the bucket compared to the total cost of IVF, we thoroughly enjoyed pleasing our customers and decided to start our very own LLC, and The Cozy Corner was born! When you buy one of our handmade items, you are supporting our family-building journey and receiving quality items that are made with love and care.

Our Blankets
Marissa hand-weaves every blanket herself and works diligently to produce consistent size, shape, and quality in every order. The Cozy Corner strives to find the best quality yarn for the best price to be cozy and warm but also affordable. All of our blankets are easy maintenance and machine washable. We love satisfying our customers with custom orders and will do everything we can to find satisfying matches for colors not produced by our suppliers!
Our Boards
Ian doesn’t just make cutting boards, he makes statement pieces! The vibrant colors and patterns you see are all from the natural wood used in making the boards. The only elements used to create our beautiful cutting and charcuterie boards are food-safe wood glue, natural exotic and domestic hardwoods, and the occasional epoxy resin filling natural flaws in the wood to keep your board food safe.
While most handmade wood cutting boards are finished with mineral oil, our cutting boards have all been finished with "Pure Tung Oil." Why? The simple reason is that it is a lot easier to maintain, it is food-safe, and it does not need reapplication as often as mineral oil. With frequent use, reapplication once every few months should be more than sufficient to keep your cutting board's lustrous glow.
If you would like to purchase tung oil instead of mineral oil to keep your board beautiful, make sure it is 100% natural, unprocessed (or "pure") tung oil. If it simply says "tung oil," it is not considered food safe.

Where to get "PURE TUNG OIL"
Online and local wood specialty stores are probably the best places to find "pure tung oil." When looking elsewhere, we have found "tung oil" or "tung oil finish," but these are not the same as pure/natural tung oil and can compromise food safety.
